The Whys of the Iowa Board of Parole

Combining humor and facts, the instructor will explain, as a five-year member of the Board of Parole, its responsibilities and how it makes decisions regarding the potential early release of prisoners. She will also offer suggestions as to the role of the public.

 

Instructor Sue Lerdal, who has an undergraduate degree in political science and a graduate degree in health care administration, served on the Iowa Board of Parole from 2014 to 2019.
