What “Makes America Great”—A Conversation

Single Day Event: Thursday, Sept. 6; 9:30 AM-Noon

Location: Urbandale Public Library

Cost: $15

Class Limit: 30

In this election year, the class will not consider candidates or specific election issues. Instead, the exercise of the democratic process provides an opportunity to respectfully identify and analyze the traits of our national greatness.

Instructor Richard Parker attended Iowa State University and Drake University, majoring in history. He taught history for the Des Moines Public Schools until his retirement and currently enjoys a “second career” as a watercolor painter.
