The Victorian Age was an exciting period of political, economic and social change. With research gleaned from comprehensive biographies and histories on her life and times, we will review the Queen’s world through her thoughts and experiences. We will reflect on the effects of her actions and those of her husband regarding the many new inventions, the Great Exhibition of 1851, the cultural consequences of the Industrial Revolution and world political events associated with the rise of the British Empire.
