Behind the Scenes at the John Deere Des Moines Works

 

Single Day Event: Thursday, October 5, 10-Noon

Location: John Deere Des Moines Works, 825 SW Irvinedale Dr. (at stoplight), Ankeny

Cost: $12

Class Limit: 60

Allow 15 minutes to walk from parking lot to tour site. Parking is limited; please carpool if possible. Must wear closed-toe shoes. No photography: leave phones and cameras in your car. Most of the tour will be in carts, but some walking is involved. Registration will close one week before tour.

 

You often see the familiar green and yellow of John Deere products at work in the fields and perhaps even mowing your yard. Learn more about this global company from its beginnings in 1837 through the many changes its products have undergone to continue meeting the needs of those working in agriculture. Join us as we tour the Des Moines John Deere Works where products such as self-propelled sprayers, tillage equipment, and cotton harvesters are manufactured.
