The Importance of International Trade to Iowa

CLASS CANCELED

According to one internet source, Iowa’s 2017 exports translated to roughly $4,200 for every resident in the Hawkeye State. Because exports are so hugely important to our economy, the International Trade Office of the Iowa Economic Development Authority assists Iowa companies in market development, develops trade promotion programs and advises companies on the technical aspects of exporting. Learn about our largest markets, the products that are exported and current market challenges as well as how exports affect our job market. Resources available to support exporters will be covered along with some basic best practices.

Instructor Peggy Kerr was named team leader of the Iowa Economic Development Authority’s (IEDA) International Trade Office in November 2017 and has served as marketing manager since December 1994.
