Did you know that clothing can make you sick, break your bones and even kill you? This program explores 18th and 19th century fashions and the deadly secrets hiding behind those fabulous looks. We'll tackle some of the urban myths, including whether it was possible for Scarlett O'Hara to really have had an 18-inch waist!

Instructor Kathy Wilson is a professional historian and is currently working on her PhD at the University of Iowa. She specializes in 18th and 19th century British American social history.
