Use the door on 3rd St. across the street from the Crusoe Umbrella. The interior sign says “Stage Door.”

 

After coffee and introductions, enjoy a backstage tour of the elaborate preparations for the eight performances of a big Broadway musical, Irving Berlin’s White Christmas. See the layout and setups for a show full of laughter, dance, timeless songs and snow.

 

Tour Director Janet Albanese is Director of Production and Building Services of Des Moines Performing Arts. She has worked in professional theatre for more than 20 years as a production manager and stage manager; she has extensive knowledge of what is involved when a show goes on tour and backstage operations.
